Young Love by Victoria Vane

Today is my 32nd wedding anniversary.  I was 18 years old and hubby was 20. We THOUGHT we were all grown up but now we know better!  I still can't believe we made it all these years. Thinking back on our courtship, I am vividly reminded of the freshness, innocence, and romanticism of first love. Although I have written seventeen romances, until now, only my debut novel (The Highest Stakes) features young lovers.

That is about to change. My next planned historical project (Ned's Folly, the third prequel in my DeVere series) has a very different tone from all of the others.

Readers first meet the noble and gallant Ned Chambers as a grieving widower in A WILD NIGHT'S BRIDE. My third title in the series, THE DEVIL YOU KNOW, shows Ned and Annalee Chambers as a happily married couple who are close to both Diana and DeVere.

Ned's FollyIn NED'S FOLLY, I will go back in time to show how this pair first met and fell truly and deeply in love.

Having personally experienced this kind of enduring love, I'm very much looking forward to writing it.

What do you remember of your first love?

How sweet! Young love is wonderful. I got married when I was 27 but Brian was worth the wait. Congratulations on your anniversary!

    Happy Anniversary to you both!

We’ll be celebrating our 39th in September. I’ve been thinking of starting a support group for those of us who are still married to our first and only spouse. Want to join?
