Historical Readers Retreat & a Free Book by Collette Cameron

                Scandalous! My hoops are showing!

Collette here, and I’m still on a high from the most fabulous weekend last week!

Lady Katherine Bone and yours truly.

14358702_887631754705776_293436232496376055_nI had the absolute privilege of attending the first annual Historical Readers’ Retreat in Spokane, Washington at the historic Davenport Hotel.

The brainchild of Delilah Marvelle and Renee Bernard, the four packed days included a vintage movie, high tea, and a ball complete with two chocolate fountains.

Yes, I’m eagerly waiting to register for next year. This event goes to the top of my must-do list.

In addition to the nearly forty featured authors, there were almost three hundred readers, bloggers, and other historical authors in attendance.

Dark chocolate on the left: milk chocolate on the right. Yum!

I had a blast meeting our own Victoria Vane and Katherine Bone, plus scores of readers and historical authors I’ve gotten to know via social media.

Imagine a giant family reunion where you can don vintage costumes and nibble authentic era goodies.

If you’re a fan of historical romance, you might want to seriously consider attending next year. Trust me when I tell you, you’ll have the time of your life!

Oh, and before I forget…

USA Today Bestselling Author, COLLETTE CAMERON pens Scottish and Regency historicals featuring rogues, rapscallions, rakes, and the intelligent, intrepid damsels who reform them. Blessed with three spectacular children, fantastic fans, and a compulsive, over-active, and witty Muse who won’t stop whispering new romantic romps in her ear, she still lives in Oregon with her husband and five mini-dachshunds, though she dreams of living in Scotland part-time. Admitting to a quirky sense of humor, Collette enjoys inspiring quotes, adores castles and anything cobalt blue, and is a self-confessed Cadbury chocoholic. You'll always find dogs, birds, occasionally naughty humor, and a dash of inspiration in her sweet-to-spicy timeless romances.

Oh, and I must add that Lady Victoria Vane looked superb in her finery! In fact, I met so many attendees and authors who were wearing her creations. Lady Victoria is such a talented author/woman and I’m so thrilled she’s also our friend!!! 😉
