Exciting Happenings for My 2015

Back in January, my lovely blogmates shared some of the things they have coming up in the new year. At the time, my family was busy trading the flu back and forth πŸ™‚ So my 2015 didn’t get off to the best start. Since then, though, things have definitely improved πŸ˜‰ IΒ thought I’d share what I’ve got going on in 2015 – especially because in the last week I’ve received two very exciting bits of news that have me doing the happy dance πŸ™‚ Make that three awesome bits of news (though we got one several months ago – my stepson and his wife are expecting baby #2 this summer!)

At the moment, most of my publications, with the exception of two educational non-fiction books, are historical. Historical romances are my first loves and will always hold a very special place in my heart. They are my go-to reads, the books I reread the most, the images I see most often when I close my eyes.

But there are several other genres I also love, one of those being contemporary romantic comedy. If I’m watching a movie, eight times out of ten that movie is a romantic comedy. I’m a die hard romantic, for sure, and I’d really rather laugh than do almost anything else πŸ™‚ So the two just go together very well for me. Recently,Β I decided to write a few πŸ™‚ My firsttotrustathief_500px (1) romantic comedy, TRULY, MADLY, SWEETLY, will be releasing from Entangled’s Lovestruck imprint this summer, under the pen name Kira Archer. And the two bits of amazing news I recently received means that Kira will get to have even more fun with more contemporary romances this year. I can’t wait to share all the specifics with you!

Not to fear, though. I can’t leave my beloved historicals behind. I will be releasing a novella early this summer that will be part of a boxed set with a group of my fellow Scandalous authors. The book will tell the story of the parents of Min, my heroine from To Trust a Thief. I’m very excited about it – their story is one I’ve been wanting to tell for awhile.

Annnnd I might have another non-fiction up my sleeves for late this year. For now, though, most of my attention will be in the romantic comedy pool with Kira Archer πŸ™‚

I hope everyone’s year has been going well so far! Aside from the snow and bitter cold, mine is off to a great start πŸ™‚
