Botched Bundle Releases Boost Resiliency and Lead to Longer Life!

Collette Cameron here!

How did you like the alliteration in that loooong title?

I waited until the last possible moment to schedule this post. Not because I was procrastinating, but because I was supposed to have a historical bundle, HISTORICAL HEARTTHROBS, release yesterday.

Alas, as sometimes happens in this wild-and-crazy writer/publishing life, the release was delayed a smidgen.

A 5-book boxed set of heroes to take your breath away!

I’m thrilled to join Catherine KeanJulie JohnstoneLaurel O’Donnell, and Glynnis Campbell in this brilliant collection.

(I borrow the above from Glynnis Campbell except I substituted her name for mine!)

HER PERFECT GENTLEMAN, a Regency novella boxed set, has been postponed until September too!

Stuff happens, and sometimes, there’s no getting around it. 13422292_10103525854985312_9174667404006665190_o

Oh, what to do?

Well, it occurred to me, that I never shared my latest bundle, PROPER SCOUNDREL’S which is also five full-length historical novels.

How remiss of me!

I’ll get to that in a bit, but first, I wanted to chat a little about how important it is to be flexible and resilient, not just as an author, but in general.

People who accept life’s inevitable changes, losses, and challenge and let go of what they cannot control, are healthier and live longer.

The more resilient a person is, the better they cope with adversity and are able to move or overcome challenges which means less stress. We all know what stress does to the human body.

Some people seem to be more naturally flexible (I’m not talking about doing splits!) and others have to work harder at learning resiliency.

I tend to be pretty resilient most of the time, though once in a while I get gobsmacked.

I find a day buried in a romance with copious amounts of chocolate usually raises my spirits.

What about you?

Are you someone who can easily let things roll off your back, shrug vexations off, and move on, or is it harder for you to accept change or adapt?

Okay, on that cheery note, here’s the promised information about PROPER SCOUNDRELS, in case you need to hide from reality for a while!

I’m highly resilient, I’ve had to overcome a lot in my life (child abuse, for one) and have had many challenges through the years. I’ve always been a very strong woman and I have a very calm and just-let-it-go nature. I’ve also learned that if we put too much pressure on ourselves, then we end up accomplishing nothing. Like you, I also love nothing more than to dive into a good romance and sip tea all day long or for a few hours at least and just relax. I find then that I have a more clear head and sense about me to tackle life’s struggles.

I can’t wait to get these bundles, they look awesome! 🙂

I’m mostly an “Eh, it is what it is” kind of girl. You can’t change the past, you know? So just roll over it and keep on going! (Which, I suppose, is resilience.)

Ah, “very calm and just-let-it-go nature. I read an article that talked about centenarians, and they all said letting go and moving on was a key to their long lives!
